Charging and battery care
Charging time, range, and what the cold does to both.
The battery comes off the frame and charges from an ordinary socket.
Range
A City bike does about 70 km on a charge. A Cargo bike does about 60 km, less with a full box and a headwind. Range is a guide, not a promise, and it falls in cold weather.
Charging
Charge it indoors, at room temperature, on the charger we supplied. A flat battery takes most of an evening.
Care
- Do not store it flat for weeks. Put some charge in it before you leave it.
- Below minus 10, keep the battery indoors overnight.
- If the charger is lost or damaged, tell us and we bring a new one on the next visit.
If the bike will not wake up, charge the battery fully before booking a mechanic. That is the first thing we would ask.
