Locking and unlocking

The frame lock is controlled from the Sykla app. There is no key to lose.

Locking

Open the app, choose your bike and press Lock. The bolt closes through the rear wheel and the light on the lock body goes out. The bike is locked when the app says it is locked, not when you hear the bolt.

Unlocking

Press Unlock in the app while you are standing next to the bike. The bolt draws back and the light comes on.

The light

• No light: locked.
• Steady light: unlocked and ready.
• Slow blink: the lock is awake but has not heard from the server yet. Wait a few seconds.

If the app spins

The lock waits for the server to acknowledge a command, so a poor signal shows up as an app that spins and then says it could not reach your bike. Move a few metres, check your phone has a connection, and try once more.
